Closing the Cabin at Glacier National Park

It had already been too long since we were last in Glacier National Park, so when we heard Maggi’s dad was heading out to help friends close down their cabin for the winter, we figured we should tag along. It was our first trip out since 2014, which is depressing on so many levels, so I’m glad we made this happen.

This marks the first of what will surely be many trips to Glacier for Darius and Torin, and the first of what I hope will be many national parks as a family of four. Glacier has been a favorite spot for Maggi’s family for years, and an easy sell for me as a photographer. It was a bit smoky during most of our visit, which made for some interesting lighting conditions and colors in the sky.
