Keeping Fall Local
We have somehow made an important discovery this year. There are so many wonderful places to visit for fall activities on the Palouse! This post encompasses only one weekend of exploration, but it was jam packed.
Bishops’ Orchard
Bishops’ Orchard is found by a delightful drive out to Garfield, WA. If nothing else, it makes for a lovely stroll through the trees, but they also have a cider press. Customers can press their own cider, although it is only available on weekends.
Preston’s Pumpkin Patch
Preston’s Pumpkin Patch is a few miles north of Viola, ID, and we happened to visit on opening weekend, which included an extra selection of vendors (particularly our friend Kalyssa of Licht & Honey).
Brush Creek Ranch Autumn Festival
This year was the 16th annual Autumn Festival in Deary, ID, and 12 years into our time in Moscow, I cannot believe this is the first time we got out there. They had pretty much everything. We were busy for hours and I feel like we only did a fraction of what they had to offer.
We also discussed the above on episode 45 of Adventures with BAM.
